actually political correctness is a not-so-new form of bullshit. They've had political correctness for years as a walking-on-eggshells type of way so as not to offend anyone. people can't think for themselves anymore they have the television do it for them. There is much lack of free thought and individualism these sad days.Is PC, political correctness a new form of mind-control. What about freedom to think for yourself.?
Political correctness is just liberal silliness. For instance it is perfectly ok for black people to be racist, but very wrong for white people to be racist. It is ok to discriminate against todays men because women were discriminated against by some other men in the past. It is very bad to display a hangman's noose because it might offend someone, but it is perfectly ok to burn the American flag. It is all just plain goofy.
we are controlled right from school, drumming multicultural living down young kids throats in RE,and god come to think of it is also thrown at us,


but i still think for my self, and often get in trouble for being honest! but i don't care!
Do that include the conservative republicans as well. They hate people ';thinking'; for themselves.
PC went crazy. ignore the wilder and more stupid parts.
Yes, it ruins civilizations because then they can't think for themselves and identify problems apart from what they're PROGRAMMED to act.

How can anyone require you to 'think' a certain way? Now I suppose societal pressure to consider the terms you use might force you to think about what you say - rather than repeat phrases without consideration.





Consider the phrase ';trailer trash';. The phrase usually brings to mind people who are poor, typically white, along with inferences to being uneducated, dirty, lazy, having unsupervised children, unabashedly conservative, and so on.





But are they really? If someone calls you out on that, can you defend your position, or will you hide behind it ';just being a phrase';.





I think the real complaint about ';political correctness'; is that people who are bigots like to hide behind certain terms which they know have negative connotations but don't want to have to defend their beliefs to the majority who do not share them.





Freedom of speech is still very much protected. Just remember that other people are free to disagree with you, and ';political incorrectness'; does not mean that you are safe from being disagreed with, or that you can say whatever you want without consequences. It just means you have a right to be rude, and that others have a right to be rude right back at you.
