In March 1982, 25 years ago, the small town of Kennesaw 鈥?responding to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Ill. 鈥?unanimously passed an ordinance requiring each head of household to own and maintain a gun. Big Smalls...Kennesaw is still very much metro Atlanta and within Cobb County which does have a lot of crime. Of course the city limits of Atlanta will have more crime, all inner cities do. But Kennesaw is an example of how law abiding gun ownership doesn't increase crime as liberals love to believe.How about this form of gun control?
As a resident of Georgia, I can assure you that the story is not as amazing as it seems. This IS the south. Have you ever been? Kennesaw isn't in any way the same as the city of Atlanta (for example), where the population is higher, and the demographic vastly different. Kennesaw, before the ordinance, didn't see the level of crime seen just 20 minutes down I-75, and still does not today. Your article isn't news to me, and changes nothing. Those who carry guns are more likely to be effected by incidents involving guns.
I say hell yeah. This is what our founding fathers would have wanted. Everyone should own at least one gun if not more. I love the 2nd ammendment. And believe me there will come a day when they want to take away everyone's guns. And that's the day someone will step on my porch asking for my guns and have a hole in their guts. God Bless Our Republic.

you are forgetting the part that it's a small town. Lets make every person in New York to maintain a gun... That will not work the same way at all.
