Don't let anybody sell you this bill of goods - voting is incredibly important. Look who we've had in the White House for the past 7 years! The most stupid, worthless little moron available for the position.

A few more votes, and we could have actually had a government and not just an official way of feeding the rich.Does voting really matter? How effective are elections as a form of democratic control of government? Does the
Assuming the USofA...

Yes, voting counts. And it is a very effective form of control of government. But, republicans and democrats have worked very hard to break the system. They control ballot access, who gets their names on the ballot. They control who is invited to debates, who is permitted to run for office, where campaign money can come from, and so on. They work together in this task, and are not the opposites that some people believe. There is no defined two party system in the US, it was created by the republicrats to control elections. By dividing the population and convincing them that voting for a lesser of two evils is the right way they insure they will always remain in power. It's known as divide and conquer.

With the Presidential race in the United States because 48 States have a winner take all policy for electors, the voting process is seriously flawed. If the electoral college were implemented as intended there would never be a dispute between the popular and electoral vote.
